AN Oxfordshire-born actress has promised to take fellow actress Zendaya on a hovercraft to the Isle of Wight.

The women were discussing ‘the closest things we get to dunes in the UK’ ahead of the release of their newest film ‘Dune: Part Two’.

Speaking to Kiss FM, Ms Pugh recommended the pair take a trip to the beach at Bembridge by taking a Hovertravel ferry across to the island, which departs from Portsmouth.

She said: "There are all these dunes that are right behind the beach and it's really cool and weird and beautiful.

"Bembridge has this old mini golf course that Queen Victoria gave to the people and it's now overgrown so there are all these dunes.

"We could go on the hovercraft - it takes like a few minutes to get across.”

Hovertravel, which runs half-hourly ferries between Portsmouth and Ryde, confirmed the service takes about 10 minutes.

Speaking to the BBC, Loretta Lale, head of commercial at the ferry company, said: "It was lovely to see two amazing A-list actors showing their excitement about our hovercraft and as well as looking forward to possibly seeing them onboard soon, we also welcome anyone who wants to fly over to see some sand dunes."

Ms Pugh was born in Oxford where she also attended school before and after relocating to Spain for several years with her family.
