A man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of drugs with intent to supply in a small village.
Officers stopped and searched a vehicle near Cassington in West Oxfordshire yesterday (February 27).
Following the search, police made the arrest with the man released on bail while investigations are ongoing.
This came as apart of South East Partnership Against Rural Crime (SEPARC) in which Thames Valley Police is teaming up with other forces in South East England to clamp down on rural crime this week.
The forces from Hampshire and Isle of Wight, Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and Thames Valley have formed the SEPARC to "combat criminals who prey on isolated countryside locations".
These operations are aimed at disrupting and deterring individuals involved in wildlife, environmental, heritage and agricultural criminal activities.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "Officers conducted a stop and search of a vehicle near Cassington in West Oxfordshire today during their SEPARC week of action patrols.
"A male was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply. He has been bailed with the investigation ongoing."
