SIX men have appeared in court accused of causing grievous bodily harm to a man in Wantage.
Thomas Bound, 21, Jedediah Burns, 21, James Farm, 27, Jamie Dawson, 20, Adam Smith, 24, and Thomas Smith, 21, appeared at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (February 27) each charged with section 18 – grievously bodily harm with intent.
They are accused of causing harm to Ahmed Chaouqi-Chemourek in Wantage on September 18, 2022.

All six men are also charged with one count of affray.
A seventh defendant, James Smith, 19, is also charged with one count of affray.
All defendants with the exception of Burns are now due at Oxford Crown Court on March 28 for a plea and trial preparation.
Burns is due at Oxford Magistrates' Court for a plea hearing on March 12.
