A missing man from Banbury has been found by police "safe and well".

Daniel, aged 29, was found today (February 26) after last being seen heading towards Banbury town centre on Saturday (February 25).

Police said they were growing "increasingly concerned" for the welfare of Daniel, whose surname has not been disclosed, after he went missing for around 48 hours.

He left his home at 9am on Saturday before heading towards the town centre at the junction of Bridge Street and the A4260, near Kwik Fit.

He was then seen between 12.45pm and 1.15pm in the same location but heading in the opposite direction towards the railway station.

A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "A man reported missing from Banbury has been located safe and well.

"Daniel was found today (February 26) and we would like to thank everyone that shared our appeal to find them."
