Oxford’s Bodleian Library has been named as one of the most popular in the world.
The Bodleian Library ranked as the fourth most popular globally and the most popular in Europe.
Receiving more than one million Wikipedia page views and 40,500 monthly Google searches, the Oxford institution surpassed other European libraries with its digital popularity.
Sylvia Johnson, a language expert at Preply, who compiled the list, said: "In recognition of World Book Day, our research highlights there is a universal love and appreciation for libraries and books across the globe."
The other libraries to make the top five were Library of Congress in Washington D.C, the New York Public Library, the Boston Public Library, and Wiblingen Monastery Library in Ulm, Germany.
