A beauty salon is set to open on the ground floor of new flats.
A planning application submitted to West Oxfordshire District Council proposes to sub-divide the ground floor of the former Hackett's restaurant on the corner of Wesley Walk and Mill Walk.
The front section will remain empty until a new tenant is found and the rear section will become a beauty parlour.
The application is for alterations to the exterior to replace a window with an access door and a new non-illuminated sign for the new business taking the unit.

A design and access statement says the proposed alterations "minor" and "consistent with the requirements of a retail business on the high street.
"The new external door will provide direct access from the street into the unit improving the street profile."
Although the property is located within the Witney Town Conservation area it is not a listed building.
The proposal does not therefore have any impact on a heritage assets.
In 2021 Maple Homes was granted permission to create seven flats - two two-bed and five one-bed apartments - on the site adjacent to the Witan Way car park with the ground floor retained as a retail or commercial unit.
Director of Maple Homes Jay Somaiya said: "We have a history of providing high quality housing stock in the local area and hope that we are able to pay justice to this wonderful building."
