The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates' Court:

CRAIG BUSTIN, 40, of Cornwallis Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to one count of drink-driving on January 26 this year in Oxford with 71 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 18 months, reduced by 18 weeks, and fined £200. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £80.

JOHN WEIR, 31, of Hightown Gardens, Banbury, pleaded guilty to one count of drink driving on January 27 this year in Oxford with 93 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was given a community order to complete 60 hours of unpaid work and was disqualified from driving for 24 months, reduced by 24 weeks. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.

JUNIOR AVERILLO, 36, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place – High Street in Banbury, on January 27 this year. He was fined £100. There was also a victim surcharge of £40.

SHAID ASLAM, 43, of Roebuck Lane, West Bromwich, pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified and driving without third party insurance on February 10 this year on the A34, Oxfordshire. He was given a 16 week prison sentence, suspended for 18 months, and was ordered to complete 120 hours of unpaid work. He was disqualified from driving for three years. There were also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £154.

THOMAS GARRITY, 35, of Luther Street, Oxford, pleaded guilty to theft from a shop on July 8 after stealing three bottles of whiskey and a basket valuing £121.35 from Tesco in Oxford. He was fined £40 and was ordered to pay £121.35 in compensation. There were no other orders for costs.

GREGOR OWEN, 67, of Black Moss Lane, Aughton, pleaded guilty to drink driving in Bicester on January 12 this year with 127 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for 33 months. He was given an eight week prison sentence, suspended for 12 months. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £154.
