A man in his 20s has been hospitalised after a "dangerous dog" attack in a Didcot alleyway.
Thames Valley Police said the victim, who was walking his own dog, was approached by another dog off the lead near Rookery Court on Saturday evening (February 17).
The force said in a statement today (February 21) the dog attacked the man and his pet.
The stranger's dog then ran off, leaving the victim with injuries to his hand that required hospital treatment.
He has since been discharged.

Investigating officer PC Phil Morris, said: “We are appealing for any witnesses that may have seen the incident or know of any dog escaping and biting other dogs or people in the Didcot area.
“If this was your dog then please get in touch with us.
“Please call us on 101 or make a report online, quoting reference number 43240077576, if you have any information about this incident.
“Alternatively, you can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111”.
