Firefighters rescued a person whose car was trapped in floodwaters.
Witney and Kidlington fire crews were called to the vehicle which was stuck in flood water near Bampton tonight (February 20).
They helped one person to dry land.
Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service warned that the road between Buckland and Chimney is currently heavily flooded with a Road Closed sign.
They urged all road users to find an alternative route while the closure is in place.
"If you have any doubts that your vehicle cannot make it through water, do not proceed," the fire and rescue service said.
"If you get stranded in your vehicle within flood water, turn off your engine, stay calm and call 999."
