A new restaurant offering a revolutionary dining concept is set to open in Oxford.
Six by Nico has applied to Oxford City Council for a premises licence for a restaurant on the Roof Terrace of the Westgate Shopping Centre.
The chain run by Scots-Italian chef Nico Simeone offers diners just one option - a brand new six-course tasting menu served every six weeks.
Each menu is themed on a place, memory or idea with Funfair and Mad Hatter's Tea Party currently on offer.
Previous themes have included the ‘Childhood’ menu of lasagne (ox cheek ragu with a parmesan espuma), mac & cheese (black truffle Mac ‘n’ Cheese) and fish fingers (diced salmon served with kohlrabi).
Six by Nico restaurants are now established across the UK with 17 venues in 10 cities.
If approved, the licence will allow sale of alcohol, live and recorded music between 10am and 1am daily with opening hours of 10am until 1.30am daily and late-night refreshment between 11pm and 1.30am daily.
