A child rapist from Bicester described as “a danger to the public” has been jailed for a decade.
Hayden Nolan, 31, of Bernwood Road, was sentenced to 10 years in prison at Oxford Crown Court on Friday (February 16).
It comes after he raped and sexually assaulted a minor numerous times on December 7 last year.
A jury unanimously found him guilty of raping, sexually assaulting, and penetrating a child under 13.
Nolan was given an extended sentence and ordered to serve at least two thirds behind bars.
A top cop in Thames Valley Police’s child abuse investigation unit described his offending as “disgusting”.
Investigating officer DC Bryn Smith said: “Nolan will now have a long time in prison to consider his actions, and will have to spend an extra five years on licence.
“I hope that now the court proceedings come to a conclusion, it provides the victim some closure and helps her to move on with her life.
“I would always encourage anyone who has been the victim of any sexual offence to come forward, no matter what the passage of time, and report it to police by calling 101, visiting a police station or via our website.
“You will be listened to and supported by experienced officers and staff, and we will work tirelessly to bring offenders to justice as we will not tolerate sexual violence against girls.”
