Plans have been submitted to build new homes next to a village train station.
An application has been submitted by the developer NCM Real Returns GP to build nine homes at a site east of Bletchingdon Road and north of Islip Motors with Islip Station running to the south.
It has been described by planners as a “small expansion” to Islip.

“Due to its proximity to Oxford and Islip Station, the site benefits from a range of amenities including commercial, retail, recreational, institutional and transportation land uses”, planning documents read.
The site forms the south-western portion of a wider 13-hectare plot of brownfield land which was most recently in use as an oil distribution depot.
Planners described the derelict oil depot as “unkempt” with the “dilapidated” condition of the site “detracting” from the attraction of the village.
The depot was granted a lawful development certificate in 2013.
A total of 12 residential parking spaces are planned as well as nine car parking spaces for a proposed commercial space in the development.
Planning documents read: “The proposed development seeks to deliver 100 per cent affordable housing as part of the scheme.
“The site itself sits immediately adjacent to the existing village of Islip and therefore is considered a highly suitable site for development.
“The proposals will support the local community by providing much needed affordable housing to the local area, as well as a small proportion of employment floorspace.”
