We've already had the likes of the Grammys and Golden Globes but the 2024 awards season roles on.

Now, the attention turns to London and the EE Bafta film awards which will be held today Sunday (February 18).

The Baftas is set to attract some of the biggest names in the film industry including the likes of UK actors/actresses Cillian Murphy (Oppenheimer), Claire Foy (The Crown) and Barry Keoghan (Saltburn) who are all nominated for awards.

Other famous faces due to attend the 2024 Baftas include David Beckham, Dua Lipa, Hugh Grant, Idris Elba, Cate Blanchett, Daisy Edgar Jones, Bradley Cooper and Christopher Nolan.

It was confirmed on Friday that the Prince of Wales - Prince William, who is president of Bafta, will also be attending the event. 

This will be Prince William's first high-profile royal engagement since his wife - Princess Kate's operation.

The ceremony will feature performances by Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Hannah Waddingham.

Ellis-Bextor will perform her 2001 hit Murder On The Dancefloor, which has experienced a renewed surge in popularity after featuring in the hit movie Saltburn.

Doctor Who star David Tennant, who also appeared on The Masked Singer final on Saturday (February 17) night, will host the 2024 Baftas.

BAFTA 2024 nominations

Oppenheimer, directed by Christopher Nolan and starring Cillian Murphy, has received the most nominations with 13.

The next best is Poor Things with 11 and Killers of the Flower Moon and The Zone of Interest with nine.

Popular movies Barbie and Saltburn received five Bafta nominations each.
