A suspected drink driver could lose his licence after crashing into a hedge near Witney.

The motorist drove into a hedge in Stonesfield on Saturday evening (February 17) on his way to the shops. 

He was caught by police and failed a roadside test. He was caught with 160ug/L when the limit is 35ug/L.

Police have now stated the driver could lose his licence for the offence as well as facing a fine.

A statement released by Thames Valley Police said: "This driver risked it all for a trip to the shop before parking in a hedge in Stonesfield near Witney.

"The driver blew a staggering 160ug/L at the roadside (limit is 35)and was arrested.

"He could now potentially lose his licence and his livelihood."
