Formula One team boss Christian Horner, who has a home near Banbury, faces fresh allegations of sexual misconduct.

Mr Horner, 50, who has been Red Bull team principal since 2005, owns a Grade II-listed estate and smallholding near Banbury with his wife, the former Spice Girl Geri Horner.

Earlier this month, he was accused of "coercive behaviour" towards a female employee he works with at the Red Rull team, which is based in Milton Keynes.

But reports by De Telegraaf in the Netherlands now claim Mr Horner allegedly sent sexual messages to this woman.

Mr Horner, who is under internal investigation, has denied all the allegations made against him.

Both Red Bull and Mr Horner have not responded to the latest allegations.

A spokesman for Red Bull previously said: “After being made aware of certain recent allegations, the company launched an independent investigation.

"This process, which is already underway, is being carried out by an external specialist barrister.

“The company takes these matters extremely seriously and the investigation will be completed as soon as practically possible. It would not be appropriate to comment further at this time.”

Mr Horner was awarded a CBE for his services to motorsport in the New Year Honours List.

He has been team principal at Red Bull since their entry into Formula One nearly two decades ago, overseeing seven drivers’ world championships and six constructors’ titles.
