It is understood there were no serious injuries and an eyewitness said the car which came off the road was a Tesla.
The crash was reported by authorities at around 8.30am as eyewitnesses stated traffic was "horrendous" with tailbacks on the M40 and A41, as well as the A34.
A statement from Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "We closed lane one whilst we made the scene safe, and after liaising with South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust to ensure no persons were injured."
Fire crews from Bicester Fire Station and Kidlington Fire Station attended the crash along with the ambulance service and police.
The fire service emphasised the importance of road safety as it shared an image of the crash.
This includes advice on driving at a lower speed to allow for more reaction time.
It adds that more than 90 per cent of collisions are due to human error and highlighted the importance of wearing a seatbelt and not being distracted by phones or adjusting sat navs.
Thames Valley Police has not commented on the crash.
