Twelve pubs, restaurants and takeaways across West Oxfordshire have received five-out-of-five ratings following their latest food hygiene assessments.

The Living Room Cinema Chipping Norton, Wychwood Pantry at The Paddocks in Shipton Road, Milton Under Wychwood, Oxon BBQ restaurant chicken and pizza in Witney High Street and Charlbury Day Centre Lunch Club at Memorial Hall in Browns Lane, Charlbury, all received the highest possible score.

They were rated following inspections on January 16, January 18 and the latter two venues January 24 respectively.

Additional restaurants, cafes and canteens banking a score of five include A and J Catering at 3 Wroslyn Road Industrial Estate in Witney and Lynwood and Co in The Duttons Building in Bridge Street, Bampton.

A and J was inspected on January 25 and Lynwood and Co on February 1.

Food hygiene inspections in West Oxfordshire are conducted by the Food Standards Agency in conjunction with West Oxfordshire District Council – the lower tier authority for the area.

The Chequers Inn and The Black Horse in Chipping Norton, the High Street Methodist Church and The Harcourt Arms in Witney also received the top rating following inspections in January and February.

Lastly, takeaways Orient Dish Lutong Bahay and JPL Peking Express in Carterton, Oxfordshire received the highest ranking after their inspections last month.

A rating of five is graded as “very good” by the Food Standards Agency.
