More than 30 football fans have been given banning orders from the police as investigations continue into violent disorder ahead of Oxford United’s away clash with Reading last year.

A total of 10 people were arrested on the night after the incidents in St Mary's Butts, Friar Street and Station Approach with arrests continuing to be made more than two months after the game.

The force is continuing to appeal for witnesses to the incident in Reading back in December and recently re-released two images of men the force would like to speak to in connection to the incident.

“We are continuing to appeal for information regarding the public order incidents in Reading on December 12.

“We would like to appeal to anybody who recognises the individuals in these images to please get in touch as we believe they may have vital information about the incidents."

Those with information can make a report to Thames Valley Police online or by calling 101, quoting the investigation reference number 43230557087.

Oxford United and the English Football League (EFL) have been contacted for comment.

The EFL was asked why the match in Reading was scheduled to kick off in the evening given the rivalry between the two clubs.
