An Oxford bypass was closed for several hours after a crash involving a motorcyclist on Wednesday evening.
The crash took place in the northbound carriageway of the Eastern Bypass in Cowley at around 6.30pm.
An eyewitness said the crash involved a car and motorbike at the traffic lights near the BMW site.
Thames Valley Police were called to the scene and motorists were urged to seek an alternative route.
The AA stated the road was closed from Garsington Road to the Headington Roundabout with "slow traffic" as a result of the crash.
The road closure had an impact on traffic building up in Hollow Way which runs parallel to the bypass.
Motorists said one lane was reopened to allow traffic to pass through.
The road was reopened at around 8.45pm.
Thames Valley Police has declined to comment on the crash when approached by the Oxford Mail.
