The Teddy Hall Relays by Oxford University Cross Country Club is back on March 6.

The race, now open for applications, will start and end on the Iffley Road track, which hosted Sir Roger Bannister's sub-four minute mile run 70 years ago.

The 4 x 4.35 mile course is designed to pass through the heart of Oxford and take in scenic landscape such as the Thames Path and Christ Church Meadow.

Registration starts at 11:30am and the race sets off at 1.30pm, with each leg covering 4.35 miles.

The fee is set at £11 per runner and £44 per team. Teams will compete in over four legs in all categories.

The long-standing race encourages runners of varying skill levels to participate.

The run will also see Oxford departments and colleges participate to compete for faculty and inter-collegiate pride.

Friends, families, and colleagues can also team up for the event.

The mixed category calls for teams of two male and two female athletes.

However, teams of any composition are welcomed to enter in the Men's / Open category.

Team declaration will open on February 28 and remain open until March 6. Runners can be interchanged and altered up until the day of the race.

The day will end with a complimentary tea at Teddy Hall and prizes will be given out to winners of each category.
