A Kidlington resident who recently celebrated her 100th birthday said the key to reaching the milestone is to "keep going".
Joyce Tullett, a resident at Lincroft Meadow Care Home, marked her 100th birthday with a celebration with family and friends on February 11.
The centenarian, born in Ardrossan, Ayrshire, received the traditional birthday card from the King, which she had been eagerly anticipating.
Ms Tullett, who was raised in Dumfries, was evacuated to Ayton during her school years in Edinburgh.
She studied domestic science at Glasgow and West of Scotland College.
She then began her teaching career in domestic science at primary and secondary schools.

In 1954, she married John, known as Jack, who she met through a marriage bureau.
The couple, after their wedding, lived in Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda, where they had their two children, Jamie and Morag.
When questioned about the secret to reaching 100, Joyce shared, "visit as many different countries as possible" and "keep going, use it or lose it".
Ms Tullett, an avid traveller, enjoyed holidays in Europe and overseas destinations including Cuba, South Africa, Egypt, China, Canada, Thailand and Sri Lanka.
She and her husband moved back to Edinburgh for their children's education and spent their married life in Scotland.
She now enjoys walking, knitting, solving jigsaw puzzles, reading and engaging in conversation.
