Building work is nearing completion at a new development in Sutton Courtenay, with two homes still lingering on the market.

Linden Homes' Orwell Park development, formerly a plant and machinery hire depot, is in the process of being transformed into a 91 home neighbourhood.

The company will also contribute over £600,000 towards infrastructure improvements in the area.

The final two properties, the four-bedroom Cottingham and five-bedroom Fletcher house types, are available for reservation.

Alix Laflin, marketing manager for Linden Homes, said: "Orwell Park has delivered a range of new one to five-bedroom homes for people at different stages of the property ladder.

"We have taken a disused brownfield site and transformed it into a new neighbourhood which has provided not only 59 homes for the private market but also 32 affordable properties to allow local people who cannot afford to buy their own place the chance to secure a new home."

She added: "This development has also brought two new play areas set among new landscaped public open space, as well as significant investment in the local area, with financial contributions totalling £629,157 going towards traffic calming in Sutton Courtenay, public art, street naming and other infrastructure improvements."

“We are now concentrating our efforts on completing building work here and welcoming the final residents into their new homes at this development where we are seeing a brand-new community take shape."
