Arrests for shoplifting, assault and suspected drug offences have featured in a new post reporting officers in South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse’s most recent activity.
According to the post, on a late shift last week, after two officers from one team joined forces with another, they attended a report of a male who had assaulted a security guard whilst attempting to shoplift.
He was arrested after officers were directed to the suspect by a Vale of White Horse District Council CCTV operator.

Additionally, four males were detained on suspicion of the possession of drugs after acting suspiciously in a car park. Searches were conducted under the Misuse of Drugs Act, with one being positive.
Furthermore, officers searched for three males that had stolen from an Abingdon store and carried out follow up enquiries.
They also carried out patrols focused on shoplifting in the town and followed up on the welfare of a domestic abuse victim officers had been assisting.
