Oxford and Reading disorder arrests total more than 30

Two more men have been arrested taking the total to 33 following reports of public fights in Reading town centre on the night of the game (Tuesday, December 12).

A total of 10 people were arrested on the night after the incidents in St Marys Butts, Friar Street and Station Approach.

Since then, 13 people were arrested on Monday, January 29, five arrested on Friday, February 2, and one person was arrested on Thursday, February 8.

A 55-year-old man from Yateley, Hampshire, and a 48-year-old man from Thatcham have now been arrested on suspicion of violent disorder.

They have both since been released on conditional bail.

Thames Valley Police is continuing to appeal to the public for information and have re-released two images of men the force would like to speak to in connection to the incident.

Investigating officer Sergeant Richard Noone, based at Reading police station, said: “I would like to thank the public for their support so far and for the information they have provided as it has greatly assisted the investigation.

“We are continuing to appeal for information regarding the public order incidents in Reading on December 12.

“We would like to appeal to anybody who recognises the individuals in these images to please get in touch as we believe they may have vital information about the incidents."
