Later that day, a van was pulled on the A34 near Weston-on-the-Green as the rear of the vehicle was dirty with an expletive written on the doors in the dirt.
Officers then conducted a roadside drug wipe with the driver providing a positive test for cannabis and cocaine.
The pair were both arrested and taken to the police station for a blood procedure.
Officers can test for cannabis and cocaine at the roadside, and screen for other drugs including ecstasy, LSD, ketamine and heroin at a police station.
