Oxford Costa Coffee among venues with top hygiene scores

Six Oxford establishments have been handed top food hygiene ratings following the latest round of inspections conducted by the Food Standards Agency.

Barefoot North Parade in North Parade Avenue and Costa Coffee in Templars Shopping Park were both handed five-out-of-five ratings after being inspected on January 31.

Newly reopened pub The Wolvercote in Godstow Road also received a score of five following an inspection on January 31.

Takeaways Reina Grill in London Road, Chicken Hut in Between Towns Road and Taylors Deli in St Giles’ were the final three venues to bank five-out-of-five following inspections on October 4, January 29 and February 1.

A score of five is categorised as “very good” by the Food Standards Agency, who conduct hygiene inspections in Oxford in conjunction with Oxford City Council, the lower tier authority for the city.
