Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) are inviting patients to nominate a staff member or team who has provided exceptional care.

Patients, their families, and carers can nominate individuals or teams for the Patients' Choice Award 2024 to give them the chance of recognition for the work they have done.

The nomination process, part of the Staff Recognition Awards 2024, is now open and will end on March 3.

Staff members from the John Radcliffe Hospital, Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford, Horton General Hospital in Banbury, as well as various community settings are eligible for nomination.

The Patients' Choice Award was established in 2016 to celebrate the "inspiring and innovative work that staff do across the trust every day to improve the lives of patients and service users".

The Staff Recognition Awards are part of the trust's mission to recognise and celebrate the team at OUH.

The awards include categories which allow staff to nominate their colleagues.

They will be able to nominate colleagues for one of eight categories; learning, respect, delivery, excellence, compassion, or improvement, as well as an award for sustainability or supporter or volunteer of the year.

Nominations can be submitted online and those who register on the online platform can update and amend their nominations until the window closes at midnight on March 3.
