A man has been arrested in connection with a drugs warrant being carried out in an Oxfordshire town centre.

Officers were called into action yesterday (February 1) in Abingdon town centre with the use of a police dog.

A quantity of drugs and cash were recovered from a property.

One man was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs, possession of class A drugs and possession of class B drugs.

A Thames Valley Police statement said: "The Abingdon neighbourhood team carried out a drugs warrant yesterday in the town centre.

"With the help of Aggie, our lovely furry friend, a quantity of drugs and cash were recovered from the property.

"One man was arrested on suspicion of supplying class A drugs, possession of class A drugs and possession of class B drugs."
