THE death of an elderly lady who hit a fallen tree in her car during Storm Henk was caused by multiple injuries.
Doreen Godley was 87-years-old when she was driving along the B4526 near Crays Pond on January 2 and her Smart Forfour at about 5.35pm.
Her death was verified at 6.25pm, an inquest opening at Oxford Coroner’s Court heard on Wednesday (January 24).

The incident happened during Storm Henk which brought heavy winds and rain across England and Wales.
A post-mortem examination provided a medical cause of death as ‘multiple injuries’.
Mrs Godley, a widow, who lived in High Street, Goring, was an insurance underwriter.
A full inquest into her death is due to take place on June 12 at 10am.
