AN Oxfordshire man is due to stand trial after being accused of strangling a child.
Michael Dudman, 53, has been charged with one count of intentional strangulation of a child under the age of 16.
It is alleged the incident happened on February 18 last year in Abingdon.

Appearing in Oxford Crown Court on Wednesday (January 17), Dudman pleaded not guilty and a trial date has been set for September 9 this year.
The trial for Dudman, of Farm Piece, Stanford-in-the-Vale, is expected to last two to three days.
However, his barrister mentioned as the hearing ended that it is hoped the case might be resolved without the need for a trial.
