A FINANCIAL penalty has been given to a man who repeatedly punched a victim in the face, hospitalising him.
David Woodford, 58, was charged with one count of assault by beating after the incident in Warwick Road, Banbury on December 2, 2022.
He punched Darryl Wall multiple times, causing him to be hospitalised at about 7.15pm.

After a trial at Oxford Magistrates' Court in December last year, Woodford was found guilty on December 14.
His case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared and then on January 11 at the same court, Woodford, of Westhorpe Mews, Byfield, Daventry, was fined £1,500.
He was also ordered to pay £500 in compensation, £775 in court costs and a £600 victim surcharge.
