A major London rail route remains closed due to a landslip near Bicester, causing significant disruption to journeys.
Network Rail reported that it is "working round the clock" to perform repairs on the Chiltern main line.
The line between London Marylebone and both Birmingham Moor Street and Oxford is closed, with Chiltern Railways issuing a "do not travel" alert.
Network Rail central route director Denise Wetton said: "I’m really sorry to passengers affected by the landslip on the Chiltern main line near Bicester North station which has been caused by recent stormy weather and heavy rain.
"Our engineers are working round the clock to carry out repairs which will involve a complete closure of the railway."
The landslip, discovered on January 11, has led to the cancellation of services from London Marylebone towards Banbury and Birmingham, with trains stopping at Haddenham and Thame Parkway.
Services from Birmingham and Banbury towards London are also ending at Bicester North.
A limited rail replacement bus service is currently operating between these locations.
As a result of this significant disruption, Chiltern Railways is advising customers to seek alternative methods of transport.
Ticket acceptance has been put in place with various other rail and bus services.
Chiltern Railways issued an apology for the inconvenience caused and assured that urgent repairs will be completed as soon as possible.
The line is not expected to reopen fully until 7am on Tuesday.
