The Boat House in Wallingford has announced a temporary closure as a result of flooding.
Taking to Facebook today (Saturday, January 6), the venue announced: "Due to flooding, we are currently closed and will remain closed until further notice.
"We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. As soon as we have a date to reopen we will post online."
The announcement prompted responses from customers who expressed both well wishes and upset.

The Boat House is located on the banks of the River Thames, which flows through Wallingford and has swelled significantly in the last two days as a result of ongoing flooding.
Representatives for The Boat House also confirmed in the post that the venue is scheduled for a refurbishment, which they said will be "happening before April" although a specific date was not confirmed.
