With Christmas festivities now past, Oxford City Council offers a convenient service for you to recycle your real Christmas trees.
Running from January 9 until February 16, trees - devoid of any decorations - will be collected curbside on green/brown bin collection days.
Residents living in flats, or those wishing to recycle earlier, are welcome to utilise city-wide collection points.
All trees will be shredded and converted into compost, benefiting local farmland.
Please note, artificial trees cannot be recycled.
The council urge residents to save their artificial tree for next year, or to donate it to a local charity shop.
But if you have one that can not be used again, you can drop it off at a local recycling centre.
