There are 34 flood alerts in the area today and two flood warnings on Oxfordshire rivers.
There is a warning in place for the River Ray at Islip with flooding of low lying land, roads and property expected later this morning (January 2), especially in areas closest to the river in Mill Street.
The Environment Agency said peak levels are expected to be lower than the flooding in November 2019.
Further rainfall which may be heavy at times is forecast through this morning with lighter rain into this afternoon.

There is also a flood warning for River Ray from the Heath Bridge area to and including the Otmoor Basin.
Flooding of low lying land, roads and property is expected later this morning especially in areas closest to the river in Murcott including Pigeonhouse Lane and Ferncott Road, and in Ambrosden including Marsh Road and Ambrosden Close.
The main route between Wood Eaton and the ring road at Marston is under water and closed.
At Islip Lower Street is closed in both directions between Middle Street and King's Head Lane and in West Hanney, a section of Main Street is closed.
The main train line between Swindon and Bristol Parkway is closed and there is no service.
Great Western Railway services between London and South Wales are being diverted with delays of up to 40 minutes.
