A man has been arrested in Oxford on suspicion of theft, going equipped to steal and possession of a knife.
During a police patrol of the city centre to target thefts on Thursday, the man was arrested and remains in custody whilst enquiries are ongoing.
Three juveniles were also issued out of court disposals for theft-related offences, police have said.

Police have issued a plea to the public to report any suspicious behaviour during the busy festive period.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "Officers from Oxford neighbourhood policing teams and Oxford problem solving team have been out conducting targeted patrols across the city centre today as part of a policing operation targeting thefts
"As the shops get busier, please be vigilant and report any suspicious behaviour to us or make security aware."
