A SAINSBURY’S store has been the target of eight thefts this year and a Banbury man has been in court faced with the charges.
Hendrick Delagrange, 41, appeared at Oxford Magistrates Court on Thursday (December 21) charged with eight counts of theft and one count of attempted theft at the superstore in Banbury.
The court heard that Delagrange is accused of stealing £180 of alcohol on July 17, £180 of electrical goods on July 20, a juicer valued between £180-£200 on July 21, between £170 and £180 of alcohol on August 14.
He is also accused of taking £170 of alcohol on August 22, £165 of alcohol on September 2, an unknown on the same day, and an unknown amount of alcohol on September 6.

There was one count of attempted theft of an unknown amount of alcohol on July 22.
Delagrange, of West Street, Banbury, is next due in the lower court on January 17 at 2pm.
