A community carol service has been held in Charlbury in support of The Princess of Wales's Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey.
The service took place at St Mary’s Church in Charlbury on December 8.
It was one of twelve held across the UK, which were all supported by The Royal Foundation and hosted by Lord-Lieutenants.
The services were also backed by commercial partnerships with Hobbycraft and Co-op, who provided decorative items, refreshments, and gifts for the events.
This year's service at Westminster Abbey had a particular focus on the Shaping Us campaign championed by the Her Royal Highness.
The service will be aired on ITV1 at 7:45pm on Christmas Eve.
The campaign asserts the importance of fostering supportive environments for children and the adults involved in their upbringing and underscores the hope symbolized by new life.
The twelve community carol services, tailored to their respective communities, provided a shared experience, enabling local residents to come together and celebrate communal efforts during the festive season.
The services also served as an opportunity to appreciate those making significant contributions to the lives of the youngest members of society.
Guests who attended the service at St Mary's Church were invited by the Lord-Lieutenant, in recognition of their assistance to local children and families.
Beyond St Mary's Church, the other services were held at diverse locations across the country, ranging from St Hilda's Church in Hartlepool to the Chapel of Clifton College in Bristol throughout the month of December.
There were also services held in Londonderry, Bangor, Newport, Sheffield and Cheshire, among other locations.
Dominic Jordan, CEO of Hobbycraft, said: "We were delighted and very proud to support the Together at Christmas community carol services this year.
"The Hobbycraft store in the local area provided craft kits for children to enjoy, as well as Christmas decorations to help decorate the churches and create magical community events."
Amanda Berry, CEO of The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales, said: "I am delighted that these community carol services were a part of our Together at Christmas initiative.
"Christmas is a time for being with others, and for remembering the hope that new life brings.
"The community carol services across the UK provided a wonderful opportunity to thank those incredible individuals helping the youngest members in our society in those crucial early years.
"We know just how important it is to build supportive, nurturing worlds around children and the adults in their lives."
