New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to seven establishments in Oxford and across the south of Oxfordshire, with six banking maximum scores.

Inspections were carried out by the Food Standards Agency, in conjunction with the Vale of White Horse and South Oxfordshire District Councils.

Newly released assessment scores shared on the Food Standards Agency’s website show Milton Methodist Lunch Club at the Methodist Church in Milton High Street scored five out of five after an inspection on November 7.

And Abingdon and Beans and Blends in the Peachcroft Shopping Centre also received a five rating after a visit on December 18.

In addition, The Cowshed Tea Room at Greys Court in Henley was given the maximum score after an assessment on December 5.

The Seacourt Bridge in Botley's West Way received a five star score following an inspection on August 9. 

And the Boundary Park Pavilion in Greenwood Way in Didcot was given top marks after an inspection on December 15.

Frilford Heath Golf Club in Oxford Road has been rated four out of five after its November 14 inspection.

And Domino’s Pizza in Ock Street in Abingdon has been rated five out of five after its December 12 inspection.

Of South Oxfordshire's 282 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 148 (52 per cent) have ratings of five and two have zero ratings.
