The latest court cases in Oxford Magistrates Court:
ROBERT BENNETT, 30, of Curtis Avenue, Abingdon, pleaded guilty to possession of a large kitchen knife in a public place – Curtis Avenue - on November 5 this year. He was given a four-month prison sentence, suspended for two years. He will also need to complete 20 rehabilitation activity days and 150 hours of unpaid work. A forfeiture and destruction order was made for the knife. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £154.
BRADLEY FINE, 37, of Poplar Grove, Kennington, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood for testing on November 11 this year in Abingdon having been suspected of having committed a crime. He was given a community order to complete 80 hours of unpaid work. He was also disqualified from driving for 17 months, reduced by 17 weeks for a course. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.
IAN BYE, 48, of Croft Road, Oxford, pleaded guilty to driving in Rectory Road, Oxford on November 11 this year without insurance. He was fined £120 and had six penalty points added to his driving record. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £48.
JONATHAN BREEN, 37, of no fixed abode, indicated guilty to possession of an offensive weapon, a pair of tweezers adapted to cause injury, at the St. Aldates Police Station front count, Oxford on November 27 this year. He was fined £120 and a forfeiture and destruction order was made for the tweezers.
ALAN REED, 50, of The Lees, Faringdon, pleaded guilty to counts of harassment without violence. The first occurred between May 10 and May 14 this year at Greengates, Faringdon and the second occurred between May 10 and July 28 in the same place. In both occasions, Reed used threatening and abusive language. He was given a community order to complete 12 days of rehabilitation activity and was made subject to a curfew. He was also ordered to pay £300 in compensation.
NICOLA JONES, 38, of Avocet Way, Bicester, was found guilty of failing to provide a specimen for testing at Abingdon Police Station on June 5 this year after being suspected of committing a crime as well as failing to co-operate with a road-side preliminary test. She pleaded guilty to driving without insurance on the same day on the M40. She was given a community order to complete 15 days of rehabilitation activity, 100 hours of unpaid work and must complete 18 months of alcohol treatment. She was disqualified from driving for 36 months. There were court costs of £85.
DON TILLOCK, 52, of Halesworth Road, London, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer on October 15 last year in Henley. He was given a community order to complete five days of rehabilitation activity, 80 hours of unpaid work and £100 of compensation. There were court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £114.
LENNY TRAYNOR, 22, of Mayfield Avenue, Grove, pleaded guilty to being in charge of a vehicle on October 13 in the B&M car park in Wantage with 107 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. He was disqualified from driving for three months and had 10 points added to his driving record. He was also fined £660. There were also court costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £120.
