The Thames Valley’s finest were celebrated at the 2023 Community Policing Awards with various accolades distributed.
The awards, held at Easthampstead Park Hotel in Bracknell on December 4, celebrated police officers, staff, cadets, volunteers and partners who have shown great commitment and dedication.
Assistant chief constable Christian Bunt, said: "The Community Policing Awards provide a meaningful platform for residents, community organisation, businesses and colleagues to honour outstanding members of the force and partner agencies who have demonstrated exceptional dedication in protecting our communities.
"My heartfelt congratulations go out to all the winners of this year’s awards for their tireless efforts and unwavering dedication."
He lauded the response from the public as "truly remarkable," highlighting the impact the nominees have had on their communities.
Winners included Sergeant Tom Neilson who was named Community Police Officer 2023 while Oxford City Angels, led by Belinda Hopkins and Daniel Courtenay, scooped the Community Volunteer 2023 award.
Other winners included PCSO Will Manuel, volunteers Mark Hickman, Robert Durrant and Stephen Hutchinson, Special Sergeant Jock Hutchison, PCSO Steve Smith, cadet Billy Alderman, and Southcourt Boxing Club.
Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Phil Hanham and Tony Maule.
Assistant chief constable Bunt added: “I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to vote this year. We are proud to be Thames Valley Police.”
