Didcot Library is continuing to undergo refurbishments with certain areas of the venue benefitting from upgrades.
The new refresh will see 25 additional workspaces with power sockets, new shelving fitted for younger readers, teenagers to showcase books more effectively and new furniture including sofas and chairs.
The library will remain open while work takes place. It was due to finish on Tuesday, December 12.

Other improvements are being completed in libraries around the county this month including: Oxford Westgate, Bicester, Cowley, Headington, Wantage, Witney, Abingdon and Thame.
Library users are getting into the festive spirit, with two Christmas Rhymetimes sessions this Friday (December 15) at 9.30am and 10.30am and Saturday (December 16) at 2pm.
December’s Tea and Talk event is a free drop in event next Monday (December 18) from 2pm which allows anyone interested to meet with others in the community and speak with library staff with free refreshments available.
A spokesperson for Oxfordshire County Council said: “Work to install new furniture shelving and seating at our library in Didcot forms part of a project to refresh furnishings across nine of our biggest libraries in Oxfordshire.

“This is the latest in a list of improvements Didcot has had over the last year, including improvements to our public wi-fi as part of the Gigahubs project and new self-service machines being installed.
“We want to make sure that all of our largest libraries are modern, welcoming facilities that offer dedicated workspace for residents.”
