A COLLEGE porter has died following an unwitnessed fall at his home in Oxford.
Henry Thompson, 85, fell at his home in Herschel Crescent on October 20 this year and was taken to The John Radcliffe Hospital the following day.
An inquest into his death at Oxford Coroner’s Court on Wednesday (December 6) heard that the college porter suffered from multiple fractures.

He was treated for his injuries at the hospital but during his stay, he had developed pneumonia. He passed away at about 11.30pm.
His medical cause of death is given as hospital-acquired pneumonia, fractures from the fall, and vascular Parkinson’s disease.
A full inquest into Mr Thompson’s death will take place on January 12 at 10.30pm.
