Flooding on a main road near Wantage caused traffic chaos yesterday (Saturday, December 9).
The A417 in East Challow was submerged in water for much of the day following heavy rainfall in the morning and night before.
Elsewhere in Oxfordshire, football games were called off and flood alerts were issued because of the downpours.

Vehicles were forced to drive slowly through the A417 with at least one becoming stuck on the flooded road.
Pictures from the scene show vehicles crossing to the right hand side of the A-road to bypass a blue BMW which appeared to be stranded.
There was congestion in the road for much of the day, according to AA Traffic, with some motorists diverting through Childrey to avoid the disruption.
In the evening, Thames Travel was forced to cancel its X35 service between Wantage Town Centre and Faringdon because of the flooding.
It is not the first time this the bus company has temporarily pulled the service this week, with flooding-related cancellations on Thursday and Monday.
Vale of White Horse district councillor Paul Barrow told the Oxford Mail that flooding on the A417 has been going on for years.
He said: "This should have been fixed years ago – it’s just neglect of maintenance of ditches."
A Meta, formerly Facebook, group, 'A417 outside mellors floods', is also dedicated to discussing the long-running flooding issues and has more than 1,000 members.
