A Thame house has been gutted by flames following a large fire on Thursday (December 7).

Three fire engines arrived at the home at 2.30pm to find a “well-developed” fire had broken out with heavy smoke coming from the property, which had blackened windows.

The crews, from Thame Fire Station, Slade Park Fire Station and BFRS Aylesbury Fire Station, had to force entry to a door at the rear of the premises.

One occupant and one dog were rescued from inside.

Oxford Mail: The house was gutted after the fireTwo teams wearing breathing apparatus tackled the fire using high pressure hose reel jets and specialist equipment to clear the property of smoke and fire gases.

Crews remained on scene late into the evening investigating the fire.
