A talented crochet fan is getting in the Christmas spirit with this incredible knitted postbox topper.
Featuring everything from Christmas trees and angels to Santa to cute reindeer and seasonal decorations this festive creation has popped up in Park Road in Faringdon.
Knitted characters made by 'yarn bombers' have appeared on postboxes, railings, lampposts and bollards across Oxfordshire in recent years with members of the public sharing their sightings on social media.
A collection of knitted snowmen in woolly hats, a Christmas tree, Christmas pudding and a Santa suddenly appeared on a postbox in Carterton in the lead up to Christmas 2021.
The creators, most of whom want to stay anonymous, say they are adding some festive cheer to passers by and some are helping to raise money for charities.
Pity the non-stop rain did not add much to the festive scene...
