Bag dippers are targeting shoppers in Oxford city centre, the police have warned.
Thames Valley Police issued a CCTV appeal at the weekend in a bid to track down three people they believe have fallen victim to thieves.
They say the bag dip thefts took place between 12 noon and 1pm on Friday, November 14.
Anybody who can identify the people pictured - or witnessed the bag dipping take place - is asked to call 101 and quote reference numbers 43230529060 and 43230529259.
Police advice on how to keep bag dippers at bay includes keeping purses and bags closed and secure at all times, carrying bags in front of you or diagonally across your chest and using a money belt if you have a significant quantity of cash.
