Handmade signs and banners calling for road safety have been spotted at The Plain today (Sunday, November 19)
The banners promoting road safety and 'vision zero' - an initiative which strives to end all road deaths - have been draped over smaller signs all around the junction, marking World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.

Boosted by the hashtag #WDoR2023 World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims seeks to provide a platform for road traffic victims and their families by remembering all people killed on the roads and acknowledge the work of the emergency services and advocate for support for affected friends and family and a better legal response.
One floral tribute at the junction has previously been erected in memory of a victim named Ling, with well wishes and words of remembrance left by her friends.
Dr Ling Felce, 35, was riding her bicycle towards the city centre from St Clements when she was struck and killed at the junction to The Plain roundabout on March 1, 2022.
