A man has been fined after trying to steal 36 boxes of Ferrero Rocher along with hundreds of pounds worth of clothes from a supermarket in Oxford.
Appearing before Oxford Magistrates’ Court last month, Traian Carolea, aged 24, of The Heights, Northolt, Harrow, pleaded guilty to attempted theft from the Sainsbury's superstore at Heyford Hill in Littlemore.
He attempted to steal clothing items worth £405.35 from the store as well as 36 boxes of the popular Italian hazelnut chocolates on Monday, October 9.
Carolea was fined £500 on Tuesday, October 24 at the hearing held at the Oxford Magistrates' Court with his guilty plea being taken into account.
