A crash on the A34 caused long delays as police attended the scene to deal with damage.

The incident occurred this evening in lane two on the northbound carriageway, just north of the Oxford Botley Interchange resulting in "long delays" in both directions.

Thames Valley Police reported recovery had arrived at the scene of the damage less than an hour after its initial public post.

The vehicle was recovered and both lanes are now open.

This comes following long-term construction on the A34 around the Botley Interchange and a lane closure which has slowed traffic in the area over the past week.

Thames Valley Police has been contacted for further information on the incident.
